Wintering is done on fodder beet and kale at an adjacent neighbouring farm. The shed is a 42 bail rotary (max 3 hr milking at peak), with cup removers and in-shed feeding. Around 800 kg/cow of imported feed is fed during lactation. Irrigation is predominantly pivot, with a small area of k-line.We're located 10 minutes to Methven and 15 mins to Ashburton. There are Primary and Secondary school buses at the gate to Methven, with Lauriston Primary bus also close by, along with Ashburton High School buses.
