Our clients are seeking a Farm Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the continued success of their dairy farm near Taupiri.The 66-hectare farm features flat terrain with high soil fertility and good infrastructure including a modern 30 ASHB shed, equipped with in-shed feeding, automatic cup removers, Protrack and Halter.
This 220-cow property supports a larger neighbouring farm and manages the first calvers, with OAD milking and aiming for 60,000 kgMS utilising pasture, PKE, and maize silage.
The successful applicant will: Have a minimum of 3 years dairy farming experience Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic Be reliable and have good time management Have experience and skills in animal health and husbandry Have strong pasture/supplement management skills Be able and capable of managing health and safety Take pride and prioritise plant hygiene FARM SUMMARY: Staff: Farm Manager (with support as needed from staff on the larger dairy unit) Housing: 3 bedroom house, recently renovated interior with double glazing, with double garage Farm Description: 66 hectares Flat contour 220 cows (first time calvers and some 3 years olds) OAD milking Modern 30 ASHB with ACR's In-shed feeding Protrack Halter Crossbred herd Cliptank effluent system to travelling irrigator 31 hectare run-off – maize block to support both farms
