Due to our current Farm assistant going off to travel after spending a year with us on her working holiday visa, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated herd manager to join our team.
The farm is fully irrigated 20 minutes south of Ashburton, we peak milk 800 cows through a 50 bale shed, spring calving. We run a system 4 farm with a big emphasis on cow health and welfare and the team's work/life balance.
What we are looking for:
Positive attitude and a can-do attitude
Great communication with the manager and fellow team members
Strong work ethic and great sense of humour
Open-minded and adaptable to new systems
Ability to work well within the team and unsupervised
Pride in their work and a willingness to work to high standards
Ability to ride a 2 & 4 wheeler and operate tractors safely
Must be a NZ resident or Citizen
Clean driver's license
We have an "everyone knows everything" philosophy on the farm, which means everyone learns to do everything on the farm, so you get a good variety of jobs every day and no 2 days are the same.

Isleworth Dairies is a high-performing system 4 farm with cows achieving over 500kg/ms a cow. We run a team of 4 plus a calf rearer. All the cows are wintered on farm on fodder beet and kale.
