Factory Finance Controller (12 month Parental Leave Contract) Position Purpose Support the Factory Manager as a trusted co-pilot within the Factory Leadership Team (vision, organisation, practices, initiatives/projects…) on a day to day as well as on a long-term strategic view. Provide visibility around costs related to the factory processes through the driving of relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances), ensure adherence to financial legal requirements and NAS. Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Factory Controller to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Factory Manager as a trusted co-pilot within the Factory Leadership Team. Your responsibilities will include providing support in various areas such as vision, organization, practices, and initiatives/projects. One of your key responsibilities will be to ensure visibility and control over costs related to factory processes. This will involve conducting thorough analysis and reporting, monitoring the budget, and effectively managing variances. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial legal requirements and adhering to the company's NAS (Non-Accounting Standards) guidelines. Due to Parental Leave cover, this is a 12-month contract. A day in the life… Seek cost improvements by prioritising opportunities and reviewing progress. Understand key cost drivers and prioritize improvement opportunities. Coordinate reporting of actual costs and ensure compliance with financial policies and standards. Provide early warning of major cost deviations at department or SKU level. Participate in business planning and understand the impact of changes. Develop and control capital investment plans. Champion audit and compliance, ensuring control and visibility of assets and liabilities. Coach and develop factory finance personnel, including career and succession planning. Promote understanding of financial key figures and costing, including training for non-specialists. Ensure transparency of costs and the financial impact of major decisions. Organize benchmarking of factory performance and product costs. Lead Focused Improvement Pillar. Transfer cost for export products. What will make you successful… Strong knowledge and experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Formal financial qualification of an appropriate level (degree or similar). Proficiency in financial accounting principles and practices, with the ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports. Expertise in analyzing and managing costs, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost improvement projects. Experience in ensuring compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Ability to coordinate and manage internal and external audits. Understanding of business planning processes and the ability to provide financial input and analysis for strategic decision-making. Skill in evaluating and controlling capital investment plans and requests, including conducting robust evaluations and financial analysis. Ability to lead and manage a team of finance personnel, including coaching, development, and succession planning. Proficiency in financial analysis techniques and reporting, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including non-financial professionals. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve financial goals. Proven experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and optimizing financial processes.
