Facilities Officer (Full Time)

Details of the offer

You'll be someone mechanically and electrically minded, with a good level of general maintenance experience. You'll previously have worked with both hand tools and some power tools and will feel confident using these. You'll be a good communicator as you'll be dealing with all internal departments at SkyCity as their need comes up, as well as liaising with external contractors and vendors. You'll also be someone who's resilient and independent as you there are times when you'll be working unsupervised. Due to licensing requirements you must be over 20 years of age to be eligible for this position and you'll need to have availability to work across a rotating roster within a 24/7 operation - the team work on a 10 week roster so you'll know well in advance of your shifts.
The role Behind the scenes, our hardworking Facilities team work across the whole business - think cleaning, plumbing, rigging, engineering refrigeration and everything in between to ensure everything at SkyCity runs smoothly. Our awesome team work to make sure our facilities are first class for both our guests as well as our employees. You'll spend your day managing both reactive and pro-active requests supporting all areas of the Facilities team - there's always something to keep you busy! There are a whole range of tasks involved in this role, one minute you could be assisting with furniture moves, the next helping out the Plumber with a water issue. You'll be ready to respond to work as requested by the business and you'll also be doing pro-active maintenance assisting over a 24/7 rotating roster pattern.
