Facilities Manager

Vacancy – Facilities ManagerKaramea Area School is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to take on the role of Facilities Manager for our fantastic gymnasium/community hall.Duties to include:Managing bookings and terms of use contracts for the facility.Liaising with the school caretaker on access (opening and closing) and any maintenance/cleaning issues that arise.Reporting monthly to the principal on usage of the facility.Reporting quarterly to the principal on the maintenance and upkeep of the building.Working with the sports coordinator on use and care of sports equipment.Weekly check of the kitchen and equipment, undertaking any cleaning required.Hours of work: 6 hours per week (3 hours clerical/3 hours cleaning, flexible working hours). At times of increased activity, extra hours may be required.Start date: December 2024 (date to be confirmed).Remuneration: To be discussed, dependent on experience.A current police vet check is required.
