We are seeking our next Facilities and Services Manager to lead our wider services team at our Pareora plant.

The role:
The Facilities and Services Manager is responsible for leading Pareora's wider services function including the site boiler operation, refrigeration, water and effluent treatment and building maintenance.
This portfolio of works involves leading the team as part of the wider engineering business unit.
Hours of Work: 7am to 4pm, Mondays to Fridays with occasional weekend work as required.
Responsibilities:
Lead the team to ensure all site services and building WOF are compliant and maintained to a high standard to support the site's production.
Job card management to ensure required team tasks are completed as required.
Responsible for contractor management of suppliers that undertake activities within the site services function.
Developing and maintaining a team succession plan.
Train, coach, and lead the Services Team Leader and wider services team to achieve required results for assigned works.
Work within budgetary framework and manage areas of responsibility including managing 5-year asset plans, raising purchase order requests and reviewing expenditure.
Assist with various projects and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
Regularly reporting on team progress to the Engineering Manager.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
Relevant trade qualification OR proven industrial experience with at least 4-5 years in a leadership position.
Must have sound experience or knowledge of the Building Act 2004 and Building Code requirements.
Broad-based experience or a sound knowledge of engineering management practices with a particular emphasis on services including air conditioning, building maintenance, refrigeration and boiler services.
Excellent communication and people leadership skills.
Ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions on a timely basis.
Ability to implement strategic direction.
Accept responsibility for decision making, respond with planned solutions and accept accountability on behalf of themselves and the wider team.
