About the role
We are seeking an experienced and specialist worker for a role in our manufacturing team, to provide engineering services in the manufacture of new machinery and other equipment. You will contribute to the design and manufacturing process; you will have the ability to interpret drawings and 'think outside the box' to resolve issues. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, where the team will value your input in the development and design of new equipment, with a strong focus on quality.
Tasks and responsibilities
Provide fabrication services as required, working from drawings
Progress the fabrication of welded components in a timely manner
Provide feedback on work in progress ideas and suggestions
Provide machining services utilising workshop equipment
Contribute to the development of equipment
Provide support to the Apprentice training & development program
Actively promote and support health and safety in the workplace
Skills and experience
Ideally 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
Competent in MIG and some TIG
Manufacture of precision components - accuracy is the key in this role
Ability to read drawings and interpret the sub-components to the main build
An appreciation of manufacturing processes and procedures, ideally with experience in the timber pre-fabrication building and construction industry
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with an innovative, positive attitude
Ability to manage time and work to deadlines
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail, striving for quality
Ability to operate in a team or individually
