Mo te turanga - About the role As an External Reporting Specialist in ANZ's External Reporting team, you'll play a key role in supporting critical projects and reporting requirements, ensuring our practices are streamlined and our obligations to our regulators are met. This role is instrumental to our ongoing regulatory reporting compliance and will support the management and delivery of new and existing regulatory initiatives across the business. Role Location: Wellington or Auckland Role Type: 12 Month Secondment/Fixed Term Contract Ka aha to ra e kite ai? - What will your day look likeAs an External Reporting Specialist, you will:Prepare data driven reporting and analysis under regulatory frameworks, including driving timely delivery across multiple internal stakeholders and in compliance with ANZ Finance Policy.Prepare and support key regulatory project deliverables using influence and concise communication, adapted for different audiences.Embed simplification, standardisation, elimination and relocation of External Reporting activities/processes where appropriate, leading end-to-end process improvement.Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business including Finance, Data and Analytics, Risk and Group Finance to ensure all reporting complies with financial account policies and regulatory requirements.Act as a Subject Matter Expert for ongoing regulatory projects impacting External Reporting within ANZ and covering all project stages such as tactical and strategic approaches, business process documentation and end user testing.Ou Pukenga? - What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Proven experience working in Finance roles and managing complex projects across a large organisation.Have a proactive mindset and be able to work independently within a busy work environment.Chartered Accountant, Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.Significant demonstrated experience with statutory and regulatory reporting and analysis in financial accounting regulatory reporting.Strong ability to be able to analyse data to make purposeful discoveries and support critical decision making.Ability to build critical working relationships with a range of stakeholders, and engage and influence wide audiences.Sound knowledge of IFRS.Experience working in a banking or other financial services environment would be advantageous.He aha te take e uru ai koe ki a matou? - So, why join us?
