Experienced Senior Events Coordinator - Virtual PositionThe Trust is involved with flora and fauna in NZ, therefore the Trust engages and collaborates with government and non-government, profitable and non-profit, Maori and Non-Maori organizations.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record in coordinating large-scale events and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all events run smoothly and meet high standards of quality and efficiency.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Maori Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience: Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in event coordination or management, with a demonstrated understanding of Maori culture and Te Reo Maori.Certification in event planning or related fields.Fluency in Te Reo Maori or a commitment to learning and integrating the language into events.Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges professionally while respecting cultural values.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.A deep understanding of the cultural history of NZ.Flexibility to work irregular hours.Opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative environment: Professional development and growth opportunities.A supportive and inclusive company culture.Flexible working hours and potential for remote work.Employee wellness programs and initiatives.Opportunities to participate in company events and social activities.Application Process: Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications and experience.
