Tripleton Farm LTD. is a well established farm in the selwyn district, 10 min to Dunsandel township.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Herd Manager to join our team.
We milk 900 cows through a auto 54 bail rotary shed.
Farm is 227ha irrigated by 4 pivots, 1 lateral, 1 roto-rainer and sprinklers and k-lines.
Total package based on skills $78-$80K
Regular sleep-ins
Be able to ride a 2 wheeler
Minimum of a learner license (for farm machinery insurance)
Must pass pre-employment drug test
Responsibilities:
Milking
Getting cows in
Setting up break fences
Dairy shed hygiene
Excellent stockmanship
Comply with fam health and safety
Lame cows
Farm walks
Help with irrigation
Monitor animal health and welfare
Effluent Management
Penicillin cows
Maintain mastitis treatment programs (familiar with MINDA)
