Experienced Chef

With a busy Summer ahead and TSQ looking at the next phase of development it is time to step things up a notch.
We are looking for a passionate chef to join our team.
This role is full time, 5-6 days per week, inclusive of some weekend work where required for events.
Qualifications & experience: Qualified Chef essential.
Drivers licence essential.
Knowledgeable about food safety and health and safety practices.
More than 2 years experience working in a commercial kitchen.
American low & slow bbq/live fire cooking knowledge preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Tasks & responsibilities: Ensure responsibilities are ready to meet daily, function and special requirements.
Ensure the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity.
Ensure each component of a dish prepared is up to standard, properly cooked and delivered on time.
Follow recipes and instructions carefully.
Be passionate about food and keen to have menu development input.
Be familiar with FCP and all legislative requirements.
Clean preparation and service areas daily.
Clean other areas as required.
Inform of any short falls in stock or ordering needed for the next day.
Ability to travel occasionally for out of town events all over the South Island.
Prepare and cook raw materials to the required standard.
Prepare and cook appropriate amounts of stock to meet demand but avoid waste.
Pay will be by negotiation based on skills and experience.
