Are you looking for a role where you can apply your outstanding organisational skills to support the Mayor of a local Council and help support the smooth running of the Council's governance processes?
We are looking for a super-capable organiser to provide executive support to the Mayor of the Manawatu District Council. Beyond a traditional EA role, you'll have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own discrete areas of work, and to contribute proactively to wider Governance functions. Your tact, discretion and sound judgment will be a key part in making their busy schedule and workload run smoothly.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to calmly and effectively address complex situations.
Attention to detail and excellent time management and organisational skills.
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a diverse group of contacts.
Creativity and the ability to assist in developing a good team culture, positively contributing to team meetings and celebrations.
Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
Outstanding ability to prioritise and keep track of outstanding tasks.
Working for the Manawatu District Council means being part of a caring, dynamic and effective customer-focused team that makes a positive difference in the community we serve.
The salary range for this role is $69,600 to $94,200 (Mid-point $81,900). We also offer a range of staff benefits, including 5 weeks' annual leave for all staff.
Here at MDC, we're serious about being family-friendly and promoting the well-being of all staff. Based in the lovely town of Feilding, you'll be able to bike to work in the sunshine, go for a lunchtime swim in the pool, and enjoy the great outdoors all weekend.
