Te whiwhinga mahi The Opportunity The Assurance Audit and Risk function have a range of team members across multiple disciplines including audit, investigations and risk management working in a dynamic environment adapting to support the business to improve and deliver value.
This is a team where we all pitch in to support each other in delivering services across Internal Audit, Provider Audit, Certification Audit, Health Payment Integrity Audit, and Risk Management services in Te Whatu Ora at a national level.
The Executive Assistant role is to provide high quality, timely, executive support to the Chief of Assurance Audit & Risk through provision of advice, being a central point of contact for the team, and dealing appropriately with matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature.
This is a permanent full time position, based in Auckland.
Mou About you You will be a skilled Executive Assistant with experience at this level in a large, complex organisation or government agency.
Your ability to bring your critical thinking and sound judgement to support your Tier 2 executive and their team will be key.
As the main contact point for the team, you know you will be privy to sensitive information and are conscious of the need for confidentiality.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, will be critical to success in this vital role.

Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite with special emphasis on Outlook & Microsoft Teams. Excellent organisational skills along with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines whilst preserving the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality. Be a team player with a great sense of humour and when required, trusted to manage issues of a sensitive nature confidentially. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels, including with senior officials and with health sector leaders. Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action. Ka kawea e koe You will bring : A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role. Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
