Ngati Koata Trust is dedicated to delivering initiatives that support the aspirations and wellbeing of Ngati Koata people, places and taonga. Ngati Koata Trust is seeking to appoint an Executive Assistant / Board Secretary to provide executive support to the General Manager and governance board, providing oversight and support to various strategic projects and processes.
Mo te turanga mahi - About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will prioritise your day to enable effective workflows, working from our Nelson office. You will bring a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and efficiency, as well as the ability to build effective relationships. Your ability to multi-task and prioritise will ensure the delivery of cohesive secretariat services to the Ngati Koata General Manager, Trust Board, and Board Sub-committees.
Mou - About you
You will be a confident communicator with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, focusing on quality and excellence. Your interpersonal skills and experience in reviewing and proofreading, along with your ability to work under pressure, will see you successful in this position, along with your excellent planning and prioritization abilities. An understanding of tikanga and matauranga Maori, or experience working in a kaupapa Maori environment would be an advantage, but not essential.
Your skills and experience will include:
A minimum of 5 years' experience working as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant
Great stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
Strong digital capability with proficiency in Office 365 and MS Suite
Secretariat skills with a working knowledge of board pro would be an advantage
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
Excellent time management, communication, and facilitation experience
Organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise
An ability to work with a minimum of supervision on a day-to-day basis
A proactive, enthusiastic, and energetic approach
Initiative, sound judgement, and discretion
Ability to work as part of a team
