Fisheries New Zealand works to ensure that fisheries resources are managed to provide the greatest overall benefit to New Zealanders. Our focus is the sustainability of New Zealand's wild fish stocks, aquaculture, and the wider aquatic environment, now and for future generations.
As our Executive and Support Coordinator, you will provide executive support to the Director, Strategy and Governance. You will also facilitate the smooth running of the Fisheries New Zealand Business Unit by providing a wide range of general administrative support services and acting as a key liaison for relevant MPI corporate systems and processes.
The core responsibilities of the role include:
Diary management and general administrative support to the Director and other Directors as required
Support for FNZ meetings and events, including logistics and secretariat services
Travel coordination for staff
Procurement functions, including goods receipting and contract processing
Assisting with the onboarding and offboarding of staff
A wide range of other day to day general administrative tasks
Collaborating with other support staff to help form an efficient support team for the Fisheries New Zealand business unit

Experience providing 1:1 support to leaders
Experience providing support functions to organisations
Experience in an office environment
Knowledge of administration and business support systems and processes
Experience of records management systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration.
Prioritisation, planning, and work management skills in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written communication and visual presentation skills
