Casual/Vacation NZQA is looking for additional people to work as Examination Centre Officers during the 2024 NCEA and NZ Scholarship examinations at secondary schools and kura throughout New Zealand.
The role is to assist with the supervision and administration of the smooth running of the examinations.
About the role Examinations take place in numerous locations across the country.
Successful applicants will be assigned to work at a school/kura or schools/kura within their local area.
Examination Centre Officers assist with the preparation of rooms, supervise students during exams, and manage candidates outside the examination room.

As part of the application process, you will be asked to confirm which School/kura (known as an Examination Centre) in your local area you would like to be considered for.
For 2024, the examination period runs from 5 November to 29 November 2024 and examinations take place on weekdays.
Skills and experience We would like to hear from you if you: Are able to follow detailed instructions and processes, Have good organisation skills with strong attention to detail, Have a strong level of digital literacy and the ability to use online systems, Possess a high level of integrity, and Have the ability to work well with secondary school students.
Having previous experience of supervising examinations would be an advantage, but full training and support will be provided to successful applicants.
As these positions are based in a school setting and have direct contact with students, successful applicants will be subject to a police check.
