Evening Manager

Evening Manager  St Bede's College is the South Island's premiere Catholic boys' boarding school, providing quality boarding school education dating back to the 1920s. Our 140 boarders come from across New Zealand and abroad and benefit from our home away from home experience.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Evening Manager to commence late January 2025.   This is a permanent full-time position.  Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 1-10 pm during term time, with adjusted hours during school holidays to reflect operational needs.
Key responsibilities include: Overseeing the daily operations of the boarding facilities to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for our students, fostering a sense of community and belonging.Working closely with young people, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.Managing and administering all aspects of the boarding facilities.Building and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external stakeholders.Requirements: Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in an educational or residential setting is ideal, but not essential.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.A commitment to upholding the values and Special Character of St. Bede's College.For an information pack and position description, please email Leah McHaffie, Human Resources at [email protected].
