About my client:My client is an established builder specialising in delivering schools projects for the Education sector across Victoria.
About the role:This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimating Manager/Senior Estimator with leadership experience to join an established builder managing the tender and pre-production process to ensure projects are ready for the Construction team to deliver on site.
You will have the opportunity to review current estimating processes and procedures, implementing change where identified to drive accuracy and efficiency within the Estimating department.
You will also manage the Procurement process, building on existing supplier relationships while fostering new ones.
Your main responsibilities:Lead a team of Estimators.Review and implement efficiency in systems and processes.Ensure accuracy of team's tender documentation and job file for site.Head up the procurement function.Work with government bodies to deliver education projects.Skills & Experience:7+ years of Estimating experience, 3+ years in a leadership role.Thorough understanding of construction processes, structural complexity, techniques, terminology, and costs.Strong communication and customer service skills.Trade qualifications are advantageous but not required.Cost X and/or Cubit experience is advantageous.What you will get in return:Long-term secure position in a growing company.Competitive salary (based on experience).Work in a collaborative environment.Ability to implement and set up new processes.Please note, only applicants with local experience and full working rights in Australia can be considered for the position.
