Equity Investment Specialist

Play an integral role in supporting our Macquarie Investment Management with the focus on both domestic and international listed equities.
This is a highly visible role that provides the right candidate with exposure across Macquarie's Investment Management business. The successful candidate will work with the investment and product specialist team and provide close interaction with the investment teams.
Key role responsibilities will include:
Completion of RFPs, client questionnaires, databases, and co-ordinating responses from the Systematic Investments team to external stakeholders.
Development, preparation and ongoing evolution of best in class product collateral including close liaison with the sales teams to assess the response to and suitability of current promotional material. This includes client flyers, webpages, and sales pitchbooks.
Market and competitor awareness and analysis to ensure that products are well positioned given changing market trends. Includes the implementation of projects focused on new products and competitor analysis.
Writing and marketing engaging research articles for distribution to both a wholesale and institutional audience.
Providing support and oversight to the client reporting process, including writing monthly market and stock commentary.
Acting as point of first reference for all product and investment related enquiries (both internal and external) and work collaboratively with colleagues in the asset class to address any issues that may arise.
Reviewing product specific information such as RG97 fee information; client rebate agreements.
Looking after new product approval process, on-boarding of segregated accounts, drafting offer documents and reviewing legal contracts.
Owning and implementing of the investment team's ESG framework.
You will be able to demonstrate prior experience working within the Investment Management Industry with a strong passion for equity markets and investing and a solid understanding of different approaches to investing. You are someone who can think laterally and come up with solutions to various tasks or issues, have a strong level of drive, commitment and dedication. Your outstanding written skills, excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills will see you succeed in this role. Knowledge and prior experience in Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, Unix, Bloomberg/Factset is preferred but is not the requirement for this role.
