Additionally, SKOPE has broader sustainability goals, and this role will support and champion these initiatives to complement our high safety and quality standards.We are keen to hear from self-driven, motivated, and passionate individuals who will drive change for better sustainable outcomes. As an inclusive and flexible workplace, we encourage applicants considering a return to work from a career break or those who would like to consider part-time hours.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage an Environmental Management System (EMS) across Christchurch, New Zealand, and Qingdao, China manufacturing sites.Lead the achievement of certification of the EMS to ISO14001 across manufacturing operations.Develop environmental policies and practices that enhance and add to health and safety, and quality policies.Embed environmental awareness and positive actions into the SKOPE culture through providing training, education materials, and events.Manage environmental audits and assist with other related audits when required.Undertake environmental improvements and sustainability initiatives (landfill waste reduction, energy efficiency, and water conservation).Support the wider SKOPE team as an environmental expert, providing advice on impacts and solutions.What We're Looking For:Essential:A driven, positive professional with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.Demonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of an ISO14001 compliant Environmental Management System.A genuine commitment and passion for sustainability.Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.Well-developed skills using Microsoft Office suite tools.Highly Beneficial:Chartered Environmentalist, Registered Environmental Practitioner, or working towards.Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.Experience in NZ.Experience in the manufacturing sector.Experience across broad sustainability issues.Mandarin fluency.Why SKOPE?Join us and contribute to a culture of innovation, quality, and sustainability.
