This position is full-time, permanent.In this role you will undertake compliance monitoring of resource consents and permitted activities, as well as investigate environmental incidents and undertake enforcement actions as required.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable out in the community, providing advice and assistance to our external customers.Do you have what it takes?We are looking for someone who can bring the following to our diverse talent pool:A tertiary qualification relevant to the purpose of the position.Previous experience in the implementation of environmental monitoring programmes.Proficient in the use of Microsoft systems e.g.
Word, Excel, Outlook.Ability to handle confidential or controversial information with discretion and professionalism.Sound knowledge of regional council Resource Management Act monitoring functions.Ability to cope effectively with enforcement situations.Sound understanding of Maori culture.We understand that sometimes the right person doesn't 'tick all the boxes'.
