If you are a passionate people leader, have a qualification in health science (or similar) with practical experience in Environmental Health activity and food legislation, then we want to hear from you.We have an exciting leadership position available in our fast-paced Regulatory Team. Reporting to our Licensing and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for the Environmental Health Team. This is a permanent, full-time role based primarily in our Thames Office.The team covers a wide range of responsibilities, including:Registration and verification of food businessesFood Safety Officer dutiesInspection of premises registered under the Health Act 1956Assessing and reporting on alcohol licence applications and manager's certificatesInvestigating general health nuisancesThe Team Leader takes a leading role in workload management as well as undertaking verifications of businesses operating under a template food control plan. The role also holds the position of Chief Licensing Inspector. A thorough understanding of requirements for the Alcohol Regulatory & Licensing Authority, as well as the Food Act 2014 and Food Regulations 2015, is essential.About youIf you have skills in developing talent and creating high-performing teams through growing and empowering individuals, along with:Experience and relevant qualifications in environmental health and public health compliance and enforcement rolesExceptional communication, customer service, and decision-making skills with a calm, solution-focused approach to issuesThe ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externallyA love for processes and the ability to engage in continuous improvementA passion for coaching staff and enabling them to be their bestWhy choose TCDCWe are only 90 minutes from big cities - Auckland, Tauranga, and Hamilton.
