Job Purpose: The purpose of the role is to support 'best practice' Health, Safety, and Environmental strategies and systems at AFNZ.
The HSE Coordinator/Officer, you will support the Plant Manager in executing health, safety, and Environmental systems, reporting, and providing advice to ensure full legal compliance.
They will have the ability to influence, engage, and build relationships at all levels of the business.
They will also support continual improvement and 'best practice' in all key Health, Safety, and Environmental tasks and provide all staff with consistent and timely Health and Safety support.
  Duties & Responsibilities: Promote the importance of Health and Safety throughout the organization.
Demonstrate and encourage employee engagement, awareness, and responsibility for Health & Safety, compliance with Food Safety and other Addiction policies and procedures.
Understand key site hazards – pay special attention to moving forklifts and high-risk activities.
Drive H&S culture growth Report all hazards, injuries, illnesses, or unsafe behaviors.
Carry out internal auditing of Environmental, Health & Safety policies, Procedures, campaigns, and staff adherence to site HSE rules Implement and follow-up of new Policies and Procedures Conduct H&S specific training Coordinate and facilitate Incident/Near miss investigations and draft reports Implementation of H&S campaigns Site H&S data updates and notifications to staff via H&S board memos etc Coordination of Emergency response plan H&S Team coordinator (Chair) Facilitate workplace H&S area inspections Support AFNZ management team to set objectives and goals for HSE Conduction Site H&S inductions Support AFNZ with general H&S enquires Assist with Site Hazard inspection and analysis Drive EH&S strategies and initiatives Assist with H&S Management system WORK EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years in Manufacturing environment Previous H&S coordination Auditing   HACCP RMP Auditing skills CERTIFICATION: Health & Safety Level 4 certificate SKILLS: Ability to Identify problems and potential problems and seek advice on developing solutions


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
