About the Role Our Enrolled nurses deliver nursing care and health education across the life span to health consumers in community, residential or hospital settings. You will:
Contribute to nursing assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care for health consumers and/or families/whanau.Assist health consumers with the activities of daily living, observe changes in health consumers' conditions and report these to the registered nurse, administer medicines and undertake other nursing care responsibilities appropriate to their assessed competenceWork in a team in acute settings with a registered nurses, enrolled nurses and healthcare assistantsBe accountable for their nursing actions and practice competently in accordance with legislation, to their level of knowledge and experienceWork in partnership with health consumers, families/whanau and multidisciplinary teams.About the Team/Service/ Location Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities. About you To be successful in this very busy role you will need to demonstrate resilience, won't mind putting in some hard work and be open and willing to up-skill as required. Our ideal candidate will:
Be registered as an Enrolled Nurse under the HPCA Act 2003Have a current Practising Certificate.Have competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settingsHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'. Salary Range This role belongs to the expired Health NZ/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($69,934 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 5 ($83,349 p.a. pro-rata) of the Enrolled Nurse Salary Scale.
