We have an exciting opportunity for someone experienced to join our team.
Reporting to our Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the primary purpose of the Engineering Service Team Lead is to be responsible for the coordination of repairs and routine maintenance on site, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety, to liaise with contractors to coordinate routine service and compliance requirements, and to maintain records for BRC compliance.
You will contribute to the design and development of plant and equipment and execute initiatives from the wider team through the business continuous improvement program.
We operate five packhouses and 43 coolstores for kiwifruit and avocados on our 30ha site in Te Puke. We run 4 Compac sorting machines and local market machine and the team maintain all five machines, as well as general maintenance of the site.
The Role:
Supporting the Engineering team through general repairs and maintenance to site equipment as required.
Identify areas of machinery that require improvements to maintain reliability and improve performance.
Support maintenance related purchases in consultation with relevant teams, ensuring required equipment is available as needed.
To ensure that each team member is competent to perform the role required.
To ensure a healthy and safe workplace and compliance with Trevelyan's H&S Policy and Procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid background in Maintenance Engineering experience including:
A relevant Engineering qualification (Mechanical Engineering Level 4).
Strong Health & Safety knowledge.
Practical building experience.
Previous experience leading a team.
Fabrication and fitting.
Hydraulics and pneumatics experience.
Strong understanding and troubleshooting of automation.
Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
Strong real-time, on the floor practical experience with conveyors, processing and packaging, and general maintenance.
