Experienced Fitter/Welder & Fabricator Needed – Join Tradestaff in Christchurch!
Are you a skilled fitter/welder with a passion for fabrication?
Tradestaff is seeking an experienced professional to join our team in Christchurch for an exciting new role!
Responsibilities: Fitting & Fabrication : Read and interpret technical drawings to fit, weld, and fabricate metal components.
Welding : Execute MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques with precision.
Material Prep : Measure, cut, and shape metal components according to specifications.
Quality Control : Inspect finished products to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
Equipment Maintenance : Maintain and troubleshoot welding and fabrication equipment.
Safety Adherence : Follow strict health and safety regulations in the workshop and on installations.
Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records including weld logs, material usage, and quality inspections.
Requirements: Experience : Minimum 3 years as a fitter/welder with strong fabrication skills and proficiency in reading technical drawings; qualification preferred.
References : Two New Zealand-based references, one relevant to fitting and a general all-round experience reference.
Transport : Restricted license and own mode of transport required.
Welding Knowledge : Comprehensive understanding of NZ welding codes and standards.
Safety Compliance : Adherence to health and safety regulations in the workshop environment.
Teamwork : Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate with supervisors.
