This is a fantastic opportunity for a Water Engineer to join our national water team in Palmerston North. The role: Core function includes investigation, design and implementation of a range of projects involving stormwater, water supply, wastewater, transport and multidisciplinary projects. Develop good business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard. Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables, as required. Perform office and site-based roles, including working with virtual teams across GHD offices nationally and internationally. Provide guidance to graduate design engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them. About you: A relevant university degree in Civil engineering with at least 5+ year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Knowledge and understanding of industry design standards and guidelines. Working knowledge of public and private sector. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. Design software skills (i.e., 12D, Civil3D, ACAD, GIS). Ability to nurture and develop teamwork within the group. Organised in multitasking of self and others and able to meet deadlines. Ability to be proactive and take ownership of projects. Self-motivated and energetic. Flexible in your approach to challenges.
