We are seeking an employment lawyer with 3+ years' experience to join our highly respected national employment law practice, based in our Auckland office. Our experienced Partners, Pip Muir, John Rooney, Rebecca Rendle, Bronwyn Heenan, and Rachael Judge are recognised as leaders in the field and head up a team of experts. Our team is currently made up of five Partners, 14 lawyers and four Legal Administrators. About our work: Our work provides a good mix of litigation, advisory and corporate support work. The size and breadth of our team means that you will have an opportunity to take on areas of work and clients that interest you. Our longstanding clients include national and international major corporations, overseas law firms, government departments, tertiary education organisations and local authorities. Our team provides advice on all aspects of employment law including corporate restructures and acquisitions, investigations, personal grievances, employment agreements and policies, health and safety, human rights, privacy, collective bargaining, disciplinary and performance management processes, union matters and litigation. Our work is diverse, often high profile and very rewarding, providing you with opportunities to work on significant cases that can shape employment law across the country. We're looking for someone who has a positive attitude and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a team player who is keen to work alongside a number of lawyers of varying levels. You'll be keen to grow your career, taking on interesting, first-rate work across New Zealand, appearing in the Authority and Court, attending mediations, and building strong relationships with clients and your colleagues. Given the volume of employment litigation, we also welcome applications from general litigators who may be keen to specialise in employment law.
