As a key member of our employment team, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions in their journey towards sustainable and fulfilling employment.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mental health issues, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering positive change.Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' skills, strengths, and challenges related to employment.Develop individualized employment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on their unique abilities and aspirations.Provide personalized career counseling, job coaching, and ongoing support to clients throughout the job search and retention process.Build and maintain relationships with employers to create job opportunities for clients and educate them about the benefits of a diverse and inclusive workforce.Stay informed about mental health resources, employment trends, and relevant legislation to provide up-to-date guidance to clients.Collaborate with community organizations, mental health professionals, and other stakeholders to enhance support networks for clients.Minimum Requirements:Full and Valid NZ Drivers LicenseExperience working with individuals facilitating employment-related services.Strong knowledge of the job market, vocational rehabilitation, and disability employment issues.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Passion for promoting mental health awareness and advocacy.Diploma or Bachelor Degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling) or equivalent work experience.Current First Aid CertificateConsent and undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screeningConsent to being NZ Police and/or Justice vettedProvide an up to date CV and cover letter detailing why you are interested in this role and the skills and experience you bring to the roleWe welcome and encourage individuals from all backgrounds and life experiences to apply.
