Recruitment - Agency (Human Resources & Recruitment) Otago Polytechnic Auckland International Campus (OPAIC), in partnership with Future Skills Academy, is located in Auckland CBD. As one of the highest quality tertiary education providers in New Zealand. We are currently seeking an Employability Specialist to design and implement our employability programmes, focused on the student's skills and competencies that will meet the needs of IT, Construction and Management sectors.As the Employability Specialist you will be responsible for:The design and delivery of the employability programmes with 70% participation rates.Developing and reviewing employability resources regularly.Developing and delivering well-designed work-ready employability programs/workshops.Individualised coaching to students, focusing on job market readiness, goal setting, and career planning.Collaborate with industry partners to identify critical skills and competencies required by employers.Organize and facilitate employability enhancement focused industry and alumni events.Assist with securing course-related and voluntary internship placements and connecting students with job opportunities.What's in it for you:An opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive education organisation.Staff social club events and team building activities.Flexible work practices where possible.What you will have:Bachelor's degree or higher, relevant to this position.Experience in tertiary education sector and knowledge of employability challenges linked to the undergraduate and graduate recruitment market.Experience in establishing and maintaining professional networks within Auckland.Substantial practical, work-based experience of careers guidance and employability and associated practices, including training, coaching or mentoring experience, preferably within tertiary education.Experience in designing and delivering presentations and workshops and have an awareness of the employment market and employers' requirements.The ability to build and maintain productive relationships and networks at all levels, internally and externally, with people from a broad range of industry and cultural backgrounds, is essential.Further information on OPAIC can be obtained by visiting our website www.op.ac.nz/auckland.If you are interested in this role, please apply with your CV and Cover Letter.
