Emergency & Transitional Housing Team Lead Housing & Homelessness Services (Community Services & Development) Full time Whatever it Takes Trust (WITT) is proud to be a lived experience, peer support organisation who have been working in the community for over 20 years.
Supporting Tangata Whaiora (clients) and Whanau who are experiencing Mental Health, Addictions and Homelessness.
Our mission: Walking with Whanau to Wellness The Role: Emergency & Transitional Housing Team Lead Due to an internal opportunity, we are looking for an experienced Team Lead to support and lead the Emergency and Transitional Team here at WITT.
You will manage a team that walks alongside Whanau on their recovery journey as they build a sense of wellbeing and strong positive community connections.
We are ideally looking for someone with experience in social housing and/or the mental health and addiction sectors.
You will be empathetic and thrive working in an environment that serves the Whanau with high and complex needs in our community.
It's Fulltime, (40hrs) 8am - 4.30pm, Monday-Friday, working in Ahuriri.
Essential skills and experience you need for this position: Skills and experience working with Whanau with lived experience Mental Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or higher qualification Hold a clean, current full drivers' licence is an essential requirement Key understanding of social housing, homelessness, housing and tenancy practices and procedures Key understanding of Mental Health & Addiction (AOD background is an advantage) Cultural awareness and confidence with knowledge of Tikanga and Te Reo Maori Te Tiriti o Waitangi & Equitable outcome awareness and the impacts Commitment to delivering services in a manner that responds to the needs and aspirations of Maori Understanding of Te Whare Tapa Wha, Hua Oranga, Te Powhiri Poutama all within a Peer Led space A high IT capability - All Microsoft office applications and Recordbase Client Management systems How to apply: We require a Cover letter and CV.
