We are now looking to establish a fully fledged electrical division to expand and grow the existing electrical jobs we undertake in our fire, compliance and security divisions and to bring in-house many of the jobs currently outsourced, as well as creating new stand alone work. The job represents an exciting opportunity and challenge for a driven individual who relishes owning their work to build and grow an entirely new division. Job description: The tasks and responsibilities for the job are to undertake electrical work and also to create, build and manage HSM's new electrical division, liaising with other divisions to meet the electrical requirements of their customers' jobs as well as building new business for the division independent of internal requirements from other divisions. It will include ultimately managing a team of electricians. Tasks include: Carrying out electrical work : to meet the requirements of jobs for other HSM divisions and carrying out standalone electrical work, including installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. Create, Build, and Manage HSM's new electrical division : establishing a new division within the company focused on electrical services, developing the division's structure, processes, and strategies for growth. Liaise with Other Divisions : Collaboration with other divisions to ensure that the electrical requirements of their projects are met, requiring effective communication and coordination to deliver integrated solutions to customers. Job management: Active management of workflow and work in progress, achieving KPIs and ensuring accountability across the team. Ensuring the effective operation of the job management systems. Manage a team of electricians : As the division grows, you'll oversee a team of electricians. This includes recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure they perform effectively and meet quality standards and may include both qualified and apprentice electricians. Customer focus: Promoting collaborative customer relationships with positive interactions, with a value-added solution focus and a particular emphasis on outstanding service delivery. Health & Safety: Maintaining a strong health and safety culture, ensuring H&S compliance and implementation of site management procedures. Hours of work : Full time role with 40 hours work guaranteed each week, with a maximum of 40 hours per week. Remuneration: An attractive remuneration package is on offer for the right candidate, including a top hourly rate, phone and company vehicle. Ongoing training and support will be provided. Location : the job is based from our office in Hastings but the jobs are in the wider Hawkes Bay area dependent upon where our customers are located within that area. Required Skills: at least two years of experience as an electrician current and full NZ practicing electrical licence full driving licence Desired Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to develop solid customer relationships. Self-motivated, excellent time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
