As an international company we are looking for a Electrical Site Engineer who will work in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee electrical installations and construction activities on site, ensuring they meet all specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Review and execute electrical designs for solar projects, including solar panels, inverters, switchgear, and wiring.
Conduct thorough inspections and tests to verify the performance and safety of electrical systems.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of electrical work with other project activities.
Keep detailed records of work performed, including installation reports and test results, and prepare progress reports for the project manager.
Identify and resolve electrical issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
Enforce and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment on site.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
E2-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, (solar industry desirable)
Strong understanding of electrical design, installation, and safety standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with site personnel and stakeholders.
Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical issues on site.
Knowledge of and experience with electrical safety standards and best practices.
