Position: ED Receptionist, Administrator & Telephonist
Department: Emergency Department Clerical and Telephony Team
Shift: Casual, 24 Hour coverage Monday to Sunday for 8 hour shifts

We have an opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our busy ED Clerical and Telephony Team.

Essential Skills and Experience:
Previous receptionist experience
Customer-focused with excellent customer service skills
Basic understanding of medical terminology
Proficient in Windows-based applications
Proven keyboard skills ensuring speed and accuracy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of the Privacy Act and Health Information Privacy Code
Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural awareness
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritize
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Willingness to work shift work
Proven ability to work as part of a team
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or commitment to starting your journey in learning
Experience in projects/initiatives that align with Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, particularly in healthcare settings
