Economic Development Advisor

This is a 20-25 hour per week role. We are flexible about hours / days of work.We'll welcome your nerdy data analysis skills with open arms, and you'll have the opportunity to take tangible action in collective impact initiative development and delivery in the rapidly growing region of Horowhenua.The Horowhenua Company Ltd (THCL) is the economic development agency for Horowhenua, working alongside our Council, business community and key stakeholders on a mission to realise the opportunities for Horowhenua that the next 10 years will bring. We are owned by a charitable trust and play an important role in bringing business and economic insights to the priority projects underway across the region.We're a small team with a good sense of humour, working to improve our region's well-being by supporting our economy to become more productive, resilient, and sustainable.This role will be responsible for:Economic data analysis, trend identification and reporting;Service design - planning and scoping how THCL can support the Horowhenua District Council with key initiatives;Providing insights and advice to our team on the work we do with our business community.You will work closely with the Chief Executive to provide high quality advice and support for forums, working groups and networks THCL is involved in, or leads.
