We are on the lookout for a passionate centre manager to lead and guide our amazing team of kaiako here at Busy Bees Woodend!
About us: At Busy Bees Woodend Early Education Centre, exploring our local Woodend community is something we love to do. It provides many learning opportunities as children explore the community around them. Excursions also provide great learning about health and safety whilst out and about in the community, seeing new things, meeting new people and developing working theories about the world around us. We offer a well-resourced backyard play area for our tamariki that was completely revamped in 2022!
About you: As our Centre Manager, you will have access to an excellent support network within the Busy Bees whanau, along with a Regional Manager who is committed to coaching and developing your success. We value Professional Development for all our teachers and are committed to upskilling and growing your professional development.
As a passionate and experienced leader, you will wear many hats to allow you to manage in an ever-evolving environment and be adaptable to meet a variety of needs. You will have a strong "on the floor" presence, providing mentoring and role modelling of exceptional teaching practice to the team. As well as being responsible for creating solid community relationships, compliance management, mentoring and driving exceptional standards of teaching, you will be an integral part of making decisions which will drive the future focus for the centre, both in terms of environment and education.
Role Requirements: An inspirational leader with an innate ability to develop and lead a team to deliver best practice childcare servicesB Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certificationDemonstrated leadership experience; you will love to coach, mentor and inspire!Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te WharikiFamiliarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of EthicsA comprehensive understanding of how to maintain and grow occupancy levelsInnovative, resilient, committed, passionate and enthusiastic!Why work for us?
