Our Faculty of English has a team of EAP Specialists who are passionate about English language teaching and committed to providing best learning opportunities to Foundation Studies students, while delivering the College's vision and values of excellence, partnership, innovation, and care.
Our students come from many places around the world to prepare for undergraduate programmes in one of our three partner universities in New Zealand.
Our goal is to develop and deliver an engaging, efficient, and effective EAP curriculum that meets our students' needs and expectations and helps them adjust to the academic culture of New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities Include Teaching English for Academic Purposes in an online, hybrid, or face-to-face environment, and undertake assessment and administrative responsibilities relating to your course.
Making positive contributions to the development of new high-quality innovative Faculty resources for teaching and e-materials for student access.
Collaborating with other subject teachers in design and delivery of the whole-school curriculum through the medium of English while building your own knowledge of disciplinary differences.
About You Ideally you will already hold a valid teacher registration, or have the ability to apply for a Limited Authority to Teach.
You might be relatively new to your career, but you are ambitious and have the desire to learn and use effective tools to get the best out of our international students.
Level 7 or higher, in TESOL, TEFL, TESL, or Linguistics.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant and recent teaching experience.
Experience in teaching English online through a range of Office 365 applications and other digital platforms.
Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and ability to make positive contributions to the team.
Exceptional communication and time management skills.
