Duty Manager/ Bar tender/wait staff for the Hoi PolloiWe are looking for an awesome hospitality star to join our professional team at the Hoi Polloi Bar & Bistro. We are dedicated to exceeding expectations, crafting memorable experiences, and creating lasting impressions.Duties and Responsibilities:Customer RelationsGreet customers warmlyTake customer orders in a pleasant and efficient mannerAssist with any special customer needs, i.e. children, disabled or elderly patronsMaintains Quality restaurant operationsEnsure customer areas are tidy at all times and are displayed in accordance with the establishment's standardsFollows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products.Clean designated areas in accordance with procedures, morning/evening routines and hygiene requirementsFollow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all productsAdvise Manager of supply shortagesReport any problems with either customer or equipment to the ManagerFollow instructions from the Manager/SupervisorAny other duties the employer may reasonably requireCash handling and contribution to store profitabilityEnsure customers are correctly charged and take payment from the customer in accordance with the procedures of the establishmentFollows inventory stocking and recording guidelines.Contribute to goals for increasing sales and improving profits.Ensure the safety of the business's property and cash at all timesParticipate in further training and learning as requiredParticipate and be involved in product developmentInvestigate and suggest new products and new preparation methods of existing product range.Minimum Requirements:Passion for food and beverage.Positive attitude with a love for people.Collaborative problem-solving approach and the ability to work under pressure.A VALID LIQUOR LICENSE IS AN ADVANTAGE!Why join our team?You will have the opportunity to work alongside fellow recognised industry professionals.We will recognise your potential as we continue to grow our company and the people who work in it.If you resonate with our vision, are legally able to work in New Zealand (or hold a valid NZ work permit for a minimum of 18 months), and have excellent English communication skills, we invite you to apply.
