This role is all about the customer and keeping ahead of the pack!Reporting to the General Manager, you will help oversee a mixture of day and evening shifts, thus some flexibility around this 7-day-a-week operation is essential. No two weeks are the same, from taking care of bookings to walk-ins and functions, so being prepared and calm under pressure is essential.This role will present a challenge to even the most experienced supervisors at times. Time management, a cool head, and the ability to delegate and think on your feet are essential to ensuring that the guests leave satisfied.Job Description:Assist the GM to develop and maintain restaurant policies & proceduresWork with and lead the team to ensure the smooth running of the restaurantEnsure staffing levels are sufficient to cover all areas and manage thisOrganise functionsLiaise with the kitchen during service to maintain the flow of serviceTrain and coach the junior FOH team and pass on relevant informationMaintain a high level of hospitality at all timesManage end-of-day cash-upMaintain a high standard of cleaningParticipate as a constructive member of the senior team with a view to maximising business sales volumes and profitabilityHave fun and be kindReceive support and coaching in all aspects of hospitality, including the business of hospitalityThese job descriptions serve to illustrate the scope and responsibilities of the roles and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties.
