Our Purpose: For Our Community The Invercargill Licensing Trust (ILT) is a high performing community owned organisation with a clear purpose – to create and contribute to a vibrant Invercargill. ILT operates 23 businesses across Invercargill, employing around 650 staff and has a rich heritage of investing in leading edge hospitality facilities and funding significant community projects through its distribution of profits to over 400 community organisations each year. The Ascot Park Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Invercargill in beautiful park-like surroundings. A standout venue in the region for business, conference and leisure guests, the hotel offers excellent conference facilities, catering for anything from 8 to 600 people. Our own Emberz restaurant and bar are both busy outlets with in-house and casual customers. The Sports Bar is the place for a relaxing drink and catch up with the locals. With our other in-house facilities such as a spa, sauna, heated indoor swimming pool, and fitness centre, the Ascot Park Hotel ticks all the boxes. The hotel offers 92 first-class hotel rooms, including 5 deluxe studios, 2 suites, and 14 apartment units. Our 24 motel units complete the 116 accommodation offerings, all located within the Ascot Park Hotel complex. This full-time Duty Manager role is a key part of the management team and offers the right person a great opportunity to be part of Invercargill's iconic hotel. The role offers a variety of tasks and the opportunity to influence our service levels. Learning all aspects of the hotel, this is a customer-focused role to ensure our guests have a great Ascot Park Hotel experience whatever the occasion. Applicants will demonstrate the following attributes: Experience in food and beverage and front office within a hotel environment is desirable. The ability to deal with a range of people and have an understanding of how to achieve exceptional customer service. You will be a problem solver and able to think on your feet. Excellent communicator with time management skills and the drive to get the desired results. Enjoy challenges and have the ability to work in a busy team environment. You will have a Duty Manager's certificate or the ability to obtain one.
