PGG Wrightson Seeds is one of New Zealand's leading processors of seed and grain products for the arable industry. The business operates throughout New Zealand and Australia and provides products and services to arable growers, livestock producers, and to food and feed manufacturers.
PGG Wrightson Seeds is seeking an experienced Grain Dryer/Plant Operator with a passion for agricultural work. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective drying of harvested grain and be actively involved in the manufacturing of added value grain products.
Responsibilities: Receive, deliver, and dry grain as appropriate and ensure bagging and manufacturing of added value grain products is performed to specifications.
Complete documentation (weighbridge dockets, grain quality, etc.).
Take samples and perform tests and maintain inventory computer records as required.
Inspect equipment regularly to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical or operational issues.
Work closely with the harvest team to ensure timely drying and storage of grain.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
About you: Proven experience as a Grain Dryer Operator or in a similar role within the agricultural industry.
Strong knowledge of grain drying systems and equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on drying equipment.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
A valid driver's license and ability to operate farm machinery.
