Tradestaff Waikato is looking for a skilled and confident Drain Layer to join one of our trusted civil construction clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced drain layer to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, contributing to the development of key civil systems across the region.Key Responsibilities:Install and maintain underground drainage systems for residential, commercial, and civil construction projects.Read and interpret engineering plans, ensuring all installations meet specifications and compliance standards.Excavate trenches, lay pipes, and connect drainage systems to ensure proper flow and function.Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations, maintaining a high standard of workmanship.Operate excavation and other relevant machinery as required.Test and inspect completed drainage systems to ensure they meet functionality and safety standards.Work closely with other trades on-site to ensure the smooth and efficient completion of projects.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Skills & Experience:Proven experience as a Drain Layer in civil construction.Solid understanding of drainage systems, pipe laying, and trenching techniques.Ability to read and interpret drainage plans and drawings.Experience operating excavation and other related equipment.Strong commitment to safety and quality work practices.Good physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.A valid driver's license and own transport is preferred.What We Offer:Competitive pay rates based on experience.Stable position with opportunities for career growth.A dynamic, supportive team environment.The chance to work on interesting and varied civil construction projects.Long-term job security with a reputable civil contractor.If you're a confident and experienced Drain Layer looking for a rewarding role in civil construction, apply now!
