About Us:
Flight Structures, based at Hamilton Airport, is an innovative established aviation company, working across design, certification, and manufacturing. With our current drawing and document controller moving on after over three years, we are looking for a new administrator to join our team.
Position Overview:
You will be responsible for managing, controlling, and distributing engineering documents and drawings both within the organisation and to our clients. You'll work closely with our engineering, design and manufacturing teams - this role is essential for ensuring smooth operations across departments and maintaining high standards of document control. At times you may assist the COO, Quality Manager or other team members with administrative support.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the storage, retrieval, and distribution of engineering documents and drawings.Manage drawing configuration control.Ensure documents and drawings and registers are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards.Collaborate with engineers and other departments to ensure document needs are met.Assist Quality Manager with administrative and coordination work.Supporting the rest of the team as needed wQualifications: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.Intermediate Excel skills, strong MS Word skills and general database and IT skills will be required in this desk based roleFamiliarity with engineering drawings is a plus.Experience with quality systems would be beneficial.Why Join Us?

This is a great part time role – ideal to work around school or childcare or part time study commitments. We are looking for someone who is available 17-20 hours a week, over three or four days, worked in our airside office.
This role is not suitable for working remotely.
