While the tima is small, our influence and reach across the organisation is large and includes two people responsible for BNZ's Maori Colleague Strategy.In this turanga you will have a chance to make a real difference for colleagues across BNZ. You will have an opportunity to inform BNZ's Diversity and Inclusion strategy and support delivery of the agreed D&I priorities to provide a colleague experience where diversity and inclusion is part of who we are. Our D&I Council is chaired by the CEO and the turanga will give you an opportunity to work across all levels of the organisation.This is an Auckland based hybrid position, with two days where you can work flexibly. Tuesday is the tima anchor day in the office.What are five day-to-day tasks the D & I Lead is responsible for?Communicating/Influencing: within a day the person in this turanga could be communicating with our CEO, reviewing policies, or speaking with our D&I working groups.Reporting: Understanding our data, proposing key metrics and reporting on our progress both internally and externally.Delivering presentations: Supporting our leaders to ensure BNZ continues to be an inclusive organisation, creating, curating, and presenting information to a variety of audiences.Planning: Planning, reporting, and prioritising your own activities, as well as supporting our D&I working groups to plan their initiatives.Programme administration: coordinating some of our key programmes, such as our Returning with Confidence programme for new parents returning to the workforce.What is the tima culture and environment like?We are a small tima that works closely with our colleagues across the People & Culture business unit, and with D&I advocates and working groups across the bank. We are a tima with big ambitions, we deliver, and we carry BNZ's focus on our Matapono, our values, into all our mahi.What will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?Initially you will be working on setting our Inclusion priorities for the coming year, alongside our D&I stakeholders and within the context of BNZ's strategic ambition. This turanga also runs a few of our core diversity and inclusion programmes, creates and presents information and resources to a variety of audiences, and supports initiatives designed and delivered by our amazing D&I working groups.What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?Everything! We are looking for someone who is organised, can identify where they will have the most impact and prioritise those elements, and who can influence others to drive better outcomes for BNZ.What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this turanga?We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of diversity and inclusion, who can work at both a strategic level and in the detail. Someone with the ability to listen, to communicate at all levels of the organisation, and to articulate BNZ's ambitions around diversity and inclusion within the context of BNZ's strategic ambition.
