Your Impact As the District Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role, focusing on nurturing and guiding your regional field team. Your primary responsibility will be to inspire and develop your team while overseeing sales and commercial activities within Grocery, Traditional and On Premise Channels. This role is essential for driving the execution of our channel strategies and new business sales plans across New Zealand. Regular travel within the Lower North Island/Tasman region will be part of this role to ensure effective team engagement and support.
Key Responsibilities Foster a high-performing, motivated sales team by providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to enhance their personal and professional growth.Guide your team to unlock growth through sales capability, implementing promotional plans, and partnering with new and existing customers to achieve commercial goals.Help your team recognise and identify local market opportunities to boost sales and profitability.Ensure the team meets national budgeted sales and distribution targets through effective leadership and strategic direction.Cultivate engagement and develop the capabilities of the entire sales team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.About You We are seeking an individual with exceptional leadership skills and a deep passion for developing high-performing teams. You should have:
Extensive experience within a senior sales role with a track record of successfully coaching and managing sales teams.Background in the liquor industry, or relevant FMCG experience, with a passion for sales.A genuine enthusiasm for advancing team capabilities.Ability to effectively influence and negotiate with customers, successfully closing sales and contractual agreements.Strong skills in solving complex issues, with a strategic approach to planning and prioritising tasks.Asahi Beverages is a leading beverage organisation with a rich and varied history.
