This role is crucial to growing our distribution operations and ensuring exceptional service across the Northland region.
About the Role As the Distribution Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall management and growth of our Whangarei distribution branch.
You will lead a team focused on sales, warehouse operations, and customer service while ensuring the branch meets its financial, safety, and operational targets.
Working closely with the Regional Manager and senior leadership, you'll play a key role in driving the success of Steel & Tube's distribution network.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and grow the Whangarei branch, achieving sales and financial targets Lead and motivate a diverse team across sales, warehouse, and trade shop operations Ensure operational excellence and compliance with health and safety standards Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring top-tier customer service What You'll Bring: Proven leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or branch management Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and achieving sales targets Excellent people management skills and a track record of building high-performing teams Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to operational excellence Experience in the steel, construction, or related industries would be an advantage Why Steel & Tube?
