You will have seen us around transporting bulk material through the greater Auckland Waikato region. We work on major roading projects, ship discharges, construction sites and operate a quarry in North Waikato.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a Dispatcher Scheduler to join our team. The role requires you to ensure the assets are working at maximum efficiency and effectively. You will ensure the right fleet are assigned to the project and truck hours are managed. In summary, the role is responsible for all asset movements. Liaise with our customers and ensure all relevant transport operations are received in a timely fashion.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete the daily allocation of trucks/drivers to jobs for the following day using the parameters provided by customers/sales/operations and ensure all data entry related to this is completed before signing off for the day.Revise and update the system throughout the day to reflect activity and changes that occur.Contact Clients to confirm forward orders.Maintain relationships with internal and external clients.Attend and contribute to department meetings.Update JAWS with truck/driver availability as required.Overview revenue accumulation by truck to maximise daily revenue.Accept customer calls with professionalism and schedule accordingly.Backload Trucks where possible to maximise revenue.Ensure the efficient dispatch of trucks and drivers to jobs.Process dockets in WTRAX daily.Ensure Drivers complete paperwork for waiting time.Monitor GPS and review breaks and time keeping daily.Report and provide feedback on performance to Transport Supervisor.Liaise with Sales Team/Administrator to ensure all systems are updated.Skills & Experience3-4 plus years in a similar position.Willing to work flexible hours – 6 days per week.Highly organised with excellent time-management.Strong focus on safety and quality in the workplace.To be successful in this role you will requireA clear drug and alcohol test and clean NZ drivers' licence.A positive attitude and ability to get on with others.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.In return we will offer youA close-knit team and a supportive workplace culture.
