You will be responsible for flight monitoring, baggage handling, refueling, boarding passengers and various other duties.Reporting to the Senior Dispatcher you will play a pivotal role in the success of coordinating flight operations, ensuring safety and optimizing efficiency by collaborating with various departments to achieve smooth flight planning and execution.Responsibilities of the role include:Responsible to deliver client required schedule in accordance with the company operations manuals. Where this does not occur, to report delays to the client and liaise on the revised schedule.Act as the key co-ordination point for client requirements regarding all scheduled and unscheduled flights including schedule, freight and passenger handling.Responsible for the check in, acceptance, weighing and documentation of all passengers and their luggage and all client freight including dangerous goods in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.Responsible for loading of the helicopter to meet weight and balance requirements, refueling the aircraft, and the proper securing of freight and passengers in the helicopter for all flight departing the company heliport.Ensure that all functions on the heliport ramp are performed safely and in accordance with the company operations manuals. This includes aircraft arrival, dispatch, loading, unloading and refueling as well as guidance of passengers as they board and disembark the aircraft.Responsible for flight following of all helicopter flights and communication with airborne aircraft. Initiating emergency response when required by company procedures and acting as part of the emergency response team.Act as an advanced user of TrackIt, FPS and other systems to produce flight manifest and accurately manage the aircraft loadings and maintain the information displayed on the status board.Ensure that all passengers are correctly briefed and wearing correct survival equipment as required by PHI and client requirements prior to embarkation.Responsible for managing passenger survival suits, lifejackets and emergency equipment including repairs, servicing and cleaning requirements and liaison with the service provider.Conducting breath alcohol testing for passengers prior to flights when required.To be considered for this role, you will need:NCEA Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy.Aviation experience desirableAbout you:Interpersonal skills to work well with others and communicate important safety requirements.A customer service ethic to effectively and safely be the day-to-day contact for the client's schedulers and passengers.Physical fitness to enable safe lifting of baggage and freight.Attention to detail demonstrated in loading aircraft to meet the flight manifest.Displays a strong sense of keeping oneself and others safe.By joining our team, you will work in a rewarding and professional environment, with a diverse team of people sharing ideas and experiences.We offer an employee benefits package that includes access to a comprehensive wellbeing platform.If this position sounds right for you, please register through ourPHI Career Centreand follow the steps to complete an application.
