As a part of our growing family business, you will be valued and integral to our success.We currently have a position available in our logistics team for an experienced Dispatch Coordinator. This role involves overseeing our small fleet of vehicles and ensuring the smooth operation of our delivery service. It could also be a good fit for a truck driver seeking more family-friendly hours.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely truck loading and unloading, maintaining a safe and efficient storage yard, tracking drivers, liaising with the sales team, and coordinating deliveries for maximum efficiency.We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a positive attitude who can work well in a team. The ideal candidate should have excellent organisation and time management skills. You will need to be hands-on and collaborate with our sales team to meet our customers' needs.You should be someone who enjoys handling various product lines and thrives in an environment that values continuous improvement.Duties will include:Operating the forklift to load trucks, pull orders, and organise the yard.Coordinating the most effective way to load and deliver products.Directing the forklift operator for daily tasks.Directing and monitoring drivers for daily deliveries and ensuring the order is completed on time.Liaising with the Production Manager on delivery forecast concerns.Receipting sales orders from the sales team.Raising invoices for outbound products.Ensuring the finished goods area is safe, organised and tidy.Coordinate stock rotation and assist with stock takes.Showcasing and promoting good health and safety procedures while identifying any potential risks.As a successful candidate, you will have the following attributes:Previous experience leading a small teamForklift license with proven experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBe confident to work autonomouslyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be organised and able to deal with multiple tasks simultaneouslyBe motivated and trustworthyClass 5 Truck & Trailer licence (preferred but not required)Some trucking experience will also be beneficialA reliable and hardworking person who enjoys being part of a close-knit team.To apply for this job, you must be a New Zealand Citizen, a Permanent Resident or have a relevant working visa.
